Life continues to show me reflections of my former selves through the people in my life. And it’s been very hard to digest. I multiplied the word self into selves because I believe each lesson is a step closer into a newer, wiser self. At the same time we shed away older versions of ourselves based on our new wisdom. Or shed older versions of ourselves as a result of old habits, ways of thinking or survival that is no longer of service or necessity to us.
“We cannot be more sensitive to pleasure without being more sensitive to pain.” -Alan Watts
