The book club that I recently joined is exactly what I need and provides great food for thought. This past week the group talked about the voice aka my favorite topic! If you are new to my blog, I found my voice in September of 2013 (
Redirection: 7 Lessons from Living Differently). After finding my voice my life changed and has since informed every aspect of my life, which includes my goals.
A few of my goals for the year are:
to be Free,
be Vulnerable and
be Fearless. I decided to start writing vulnerably via this blog, when my voice coach challenged me to write a solo show about my life (
The Unimaginable). Since then I decided to write about what I know up to now both honestly and authentically. Since my three goals aren’t already challenging enough I recently added total surrender to the mix and let go of my grasp of anything that I feel certain about for my future. As a result of total surrender, my life is shifting rapidly. Since the voice and my voice is on my mind, I wanted to share a quote about what finding my voice has meant to me.
“The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.” – Neil Gaiman

We can let go together.
Surrender! Sigh…I have the greatest issues with that for sure. I’m always being guided to let go so the net can catch me…and I still can’t.
