When I was a teenager I had opportunities to go to several leadership programs. What I loved the most about those programs were the motivational speakers because they inspired me a lot as a teen and as a young leader. One specific speaker said:
“People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care,”
which has stuck with me since I heard as a junior in high school. Simon Sinek TedTalk touches on that idea saying that “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.” And takes it a step further with what he calls the “Golden Circle.”
