Brene Brown studies human connection and after over ten years of research she understands the effect of shame and the importance of vulnerability. She found that vulnerability is the birth place of joy, creativity, love and belonging. She also discovered that expressing gratitude is important to people who, in her research, she calls “wholehearted” and “courageous”. She discusses her findings in this video below, how which UMCSH posted on YouTube, and discusses how gratitude has changed her family dynamic.
Stephanie Marie began practicing mindfulness, meditation, and yoga in 2013. Nine months into her practice, she found her voice and launch her Mindfulness blog, Illuminated Voice. She is a group facilitator, yoga teacher, empowerment coach, and founder of HeartSpace Circle.
