My goodness next week is February. I can’t believe the first month of the year is almost a memory. When I chose to live my life boldly, and take my leap of faith, a friend recommended that I read a different type of goal setting book called “The Desire Map,” written by Danielle Laporte. The title intrigued me a lot. I purchased the book, during my my month of writing and 4 months later, I started to read the book. I wanted to use the wisdom in the book to both prep for my goal setting for 2015 and give advice to the girls that I mentored. While I am in the process of reading this book, thus far, the goal setting technique is similar to how I have evolved my personal goal setting style. The book is a great read and a fresh take on goal setting. If my life had a soundtrack it would sound something like this weeks quote, which I came from the book. The quote has a fresh take on affirmations. Rather then affirm what you want, it asks you to affirm something different. It’s so good. Be prepared, this quote demands action. Take note of your thoughts that come up while you read and after you read the quote.
If you’re going to affirm something, affirm the truth. Then go do something about it. – Jim Roth
What truth, if any, are you challenged to face or speak? Why? Is anyone, including yourself, getting hurt by not facing or speaking your truth? Who are you speaking to? Do you feel action, if any, is required? Why?
