Tuesday #16 – May You Be Forever Young

It’s Tuesday my favorite day of the week, because I love the music! In thinking about this new year and yesterday’s post I couldn’t think of a more perfect song then Forever Young. While this blog is a motivational blog, it organically motivational. I’m not pushing out motivation that has no depth nor am I stretching to make connections that lead to my realizations. I naturally see things from a positive perspective and it came as a result of my early struggles as a very young girl. I am choosing to write about my successes and struggles, because it’s my full story. We don’t talk enough about our full life, only the part of our lives that feel safe or that are “socially acceptable.” We often feel like we are alone with our fears, doubts, experiences and feelings and that is simply not true. You can only know that you are not alone, when you start to shed light on all of you and your truths. I am a very loving and caring person and despite the fact that I am so loving and show my love, I still wonder if friends are aware of how much I care about them? This love is a love I have for people in general. I hurt when others hurt and are in struggle. All I want for anyone I meet is for them to be happy, to be at peace and have a deep sense that they are loved. This song encompass my hope for those I know and those I have yet to know.

“Forever Young” by Rod Stewart

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you’re far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you’d have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you’ll always stay
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond

And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young
Forever Young

And when you finally fly away
I’ll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell

But whatever road you choose
I’m right behind you, win or lose
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young ,Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
For, Forever Young, Forever Young

I appreciate your words. Thank you!
