It’s Tuesday and I feel exhausted. I spent 80% of the weekend resting from the stress of the last month of work. I have not felt tired like this in a long time. I feel like your body feels when you have a cold, but without the cold. I usually do well at listening to my body and resting when I can, but even when I did that this time around, it wasn’t enough. I’m disappointed in myself for putting more importance and energy on something that at the end of the day doesn’t matter.
I am using this week to rest and get back the energy I gave away and I will also re-align myself with my soul and the universe. To kick off my week I went to Yoga on Monday and I feel worse. That means that I had a lot of toxins in my body, built by stress, which have loosed up. My body is calling for me to completely rest and be. In the process, I am enjoying “the sweetness of doing nothing,” which is growth. Plus, any chores or tasks that I complete, with my limited energy, is enough, which is also a sign of growth. I feel I am enjoying this down time because of all the spiritual work I have done and I feel my down time will be limited.
As satated on Monday, I am building the courage to face my oldest fear. I feel the presence of that fear running in my mind. I will double down on the courage I need and the fear that never served me from it’s inception.
Today’s Tune Tuesday came to me via my iTunes on shuffle. Whatever you are working towards i.e. your goal or vision, if you feel that you lost something along the way, you have exactly what you need in front of you and with in you. Whatever you seek is seeking you, don’t give in and don’t back down.
I Won’t Back Down – Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Well I won’t back down
No I won’t back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won’t back down
No I’ll stand my ground, won’t be turned around
And I’ll keep this world from draggin me down
gonna stand my ground
… and I won’t back down
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
(and I won’t back down…)
hey I will stand my ground
and I won’t back down
Well I know what’s right, I got just one life
in a world that keeps on pushin me around
but I’ll stand my ground
…and I won’t back down
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
(and I won’t back down…)
hey I will stand my ground
(I won’t back down)
and I won’t back down…
Hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
(I won’t back down)
hey I won’t back down
(and I won’t back down)
hey baby, there ain’t no easy way out
(and I won’t back down)
hey I will stand my ground
(and I won’t back down)
and I won’t back down
(I won’t back down)
No I won’t back down..
