Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. – Jill Jackson Miller and Sy Miller
That quote is from the song “Let there be peace on Earth” and is so profoundly simple and true. World peace can only be achieved by the daily, mindful actions of the world’s citizens. And yes, peace can begin with you.
Before we take leaps towards world peace, we need to first make steps towards our own inner peace. If we have not healed the broken (or hurting) parts of ourselves, hearts, lives, thoughts or stories it can be a challenge to help others, spread love and create interpersonal peace.
As you reflect on your goals for the new year, consider making peace with yourself in 2016.
