These questions are a great writing prompt, a great acting activity for character development and a great tool to go deeper in self-awareness.

My being has a song that runs through it and I found that song when I attended an Evolving Out Loud workshop the first weekend in April.

I was not supposed to be at the event that weekend. I attended it two months prior and this April I was committed to volunteer with a non-profit that I work with each year. Do to many schedule conflicts I had to back out of my volunteer commitment which freed up my weekends.

The first time I attended this workshop it brought together and deepened the spiritual/ life wisdom that my mentors and instructors told me over the years. The second workshop was a game changer.

I thought I was fearless. I had no idea how much fear I had in my life until I faced my fears and saw fear around every corner.

Of all the fears I’ve faced since the fall of 2013, the fear that had the power to keep me from my ultimate success presented itself to me. I have acknowledge it’s presence in my life and we kindly co-existed since 2015.

Through talking about my experiences and my career/ life goals with fellow participants I started to see a version of myself outside of my fear. I saw my strength through each fear I faced. This version of me feels right and it’s what I was meant to be all along.

I’m no longer afraid to be seen. I am ready to step out and speak beyond interpersonal relationships. I’m excited where this journey will lead me.

The weekend brought my to feel the energy that runs through me that just makes me want to sing, write and create. The song of that energy is It’s My Life.
